In this talk, Zerwas discusses the emotions and insecurities that come along with photographs on social media- and how to break the negative thought patterns they generate.

Stephanie Zerwas is a clinical psychologist and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Clinical Director of the UNC Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders. An expert on the genetics of eating disorders, maternal eating disorders, and body image in the age of social media, she has been an invited speaker at the International Conference on Eating Disorders and the Eating Disorder Research Society. Her work has been published in the International Journal of Eating Disorders, the European Eating Disorder Review, the Journal of Psychiatric Research, and Molecular Psychiatry. She is active on Twitter (@sczerwas) and started the blog, UNC Exchanges.
