Mark Daly investigates serious allegations of doping in athletics, involving some of the biggest stars in the sport, he also explored in detail the Nike Oregon Project. Reporter Mark Daly first exposed doping at Salazar’s Nike Oregon Project in 2015. In 2019-20 investigation he reveals fresh allegations about the disgraced coach and raises new questions about his relationship with Sir Mo Farah.

In order to review I utilised a modified performance descrphrancy table (2.0), to try and make the results scientific of sorts and objective. Fat-Topia 1 highlighted potential weaknesses with the original and as a result, extra sections in the information section were added to reflect limitation arising from the Fat-Topia review. A performance descraphrancy table involves self-assessing sub-criteria from 5 categories.
1. Content
2. Information
3. Production
4. Film Mechanics
5. Scientific and Journalistic code of practice
This allows for an objective measure of sorts to cross-compare different content to one another. It is a bit rudimentary at the moment but it will improve.
To work out the descrphrancy one calculates the self-importance of the measure and then compares where it needs to be improved (10-SA)xAPI. Lower scores indicate that less improvement is needed. You then compare the sums of each category and a reversed total will give you a final score.
