Following her experiences across the country in Library Science, Crishuana Williams seeks to bring light to how technology has connected the past. Highlighting the work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Crishuana hits on how when people work together in unison, that they can create beautiful things. Focusing on The King Papers and their cataloguing digitally, she helps others understand how the 21st century librarian is changing the past. Valuing the power of good stories, Crishuana has been drawn to narratives ever since she learned to read. This passion led to her working in libraries, where she currently resides as the Senior Technical Assistant at the Jane Banecroft Library in Sarasota. Her work in library spaces across the country has already had immense impact, with work at the Nashville Public Library, membership in both the Florida and American Theological Library Associations, and many more exciting library based projects to date. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
