Frontline on the Sea

I have been working for two weeks on a humanitarian ship rescuing refugees in the Mediterranean Sea. There are many who might believe that there is, in fact, no more refugee crises engulfing Europe. The reason why the number of migrants reaching European shores has recently dropped dramatically is that the EU has been providing funding and all the possible tools to the Libyan coastguard in efforts to turn back migrant boats and prevent the crossings.
I went on the mission of the Sea Watch 3 to see for myself who are the people escaping Libya, who are the NGOs helping them and do the NGOs actually cooperate with smugglers?
