Between 1972, when Smt. Indira Gandhi introduced the idea and 2019, when Greta Thunberg propagated it further, the definition of Sustainable Development has changed. But, what has not changed is the need to educate students about it. Taking on the gaps in education on the social, economic and environmental issues, Education for Sustainable Development is the new paradigm that focuses on providing the right knowledge, skills, and values to all learners to contribute to SDG 4.7 and towards sustainable development itself. In this talk, Tarush Jain, founder of Brainwiz talks about how we should change the way we perceive the world, identify trade-offs that exist in the society and constantly work towards resolving those trade-offs using the power of subjects that we study. Watch him tell how Education can help achieve the SDGs by 2030. Tarush Jain works with the government, NGOs, and is consulting with startups. Jain is now working on his startup Brainwiz, which aims to provide a curated and collaborative learning space for all individuals to help them cope up with the social-economic and sustainability challenges if this century. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
