The core thesis of Gaurav’s organisation (Samagra) is ‘better governance as a lever to create large scale impact’. Samagra has been instrumental in delivering large scale systemic transformation across governance domains like education(Himachal Pradesh), employment (Haryana), agriculture (Orissa). He speaks on the topic close to his heart, that of education, focusing on the school education in Haryana After spending nearly three year at McKinsey, Gaurav quit in 2012 and decided to travel around India for half a year to understand how the wheels of the government move at the grassroot level. The idea was to come out of the McKinsey bubble and understand how things are currently on the ground. He founded Samagra in 2012 and has been leading it since inception.
